THE WESTERN GENERAL HOSPITAL EDINBURGH
My GP sent me to the Acute Receiving Unit of the Western General a week ago with a fever and a severe leg condition after I'd been taken ill during a meeting of the Edinburgh All Comers Writers Club, Since then I have been visiting the hospital daily for a course of antibiotics by intravenous injection, and I was given a clean bill of health today after eight days of injections. I am currently feeling very weak and depressed as a result of this experience. My treatment by the very kind NHS specialist nurses was quite outstanding, When I get around to it, I will compose a poem and dedicate it to Julie,
