What is Kennedy's 'monolithic organisation'?
Could it be an all powerful 'eugenics consortium' which is going
to great lengths to control and subjugate the population of the
world? Just a fanciful thought, I hope (3.37 am. 23rd June 2015)
Some people instead equate the monolithic organisation with the
Communist U.S.S.R. Others equate it with a small group of extremely rich
Americans, included the Rockefellers, the Bushes, the Morgans, and the
Rothschilds which evolved from the financiers who set up the Federal
Reserve Fund in 1914 (not to be confused with the larger Bilderberg
group),
Eric McCay I listened to it. You're right. What he was saying was that there was no point in opposing the Soviet Union by turning America into a similar secretive, militaristic society which is exactly what certain dark forces were planning.

George Bush is a major voice in the eugenics movement and is surrounded by like-minded people –Boyden Gray (his legal advisor) and William Draper III (head of fundraising for his 1980 presidential campaign). Draper's grandfather had unsuccessfully urged eugenics policies on Eisenhower before convincing Johnson to adopt them. In 1969 Bush was involved in hearings into the 'dangers of too many black babies' and when he became ambassador to the UN in 1972 he arranged for the Association of Voluntary Surgical Contraception (formerly the Sterilisation League) to extend its policy of sterilising young children with 'low' IQ to non-white countries. This was further extended when Bush became president in 1988.

The Pioneer Fund supported the distribution of a eugenics film titled Erbkrank ("Hereditary Defective" or "Hereditary Illness") which was published by the pre-war 1930s Nazi Party. William Draper obtained the film from the predecessor to the Nazi Office of Racial Policy (Rassenpolitisches Amt) prior to the founding of the Pioneer Fund.[2] According to the Pioneer Fund site, all founders capable of doing so participated in the war against the Nazis.[15]
Draper secretly met Dr. C. Nash Herndon of Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in 1949. Little is known about their meetings, but Herndon was playing a major role in the expansion of the compulsory sterilization program in North Carolina.[16]
In the 1950s and 1960s Draper supported two government committees that gave grants for both anti-immigration and genetics research. The committee members included Representative Francis E. Walter (chair of the House Un-American Activities Committee and head of the Draper Immigration Committee), Henry E. Garrett (an educator known for his belief in the genetic inferiority of blacks), and Senator James O. Eastland of Mississippi, head of the Draper Genetics Committee.[17]

Abstract
The Oxford Handbook of the History of Eugenics covers the nineteenth century to the post-World War II era and dispels for uninitiated readers the automatic and apparently exclusive link between eugenics and the Holocaust. It provides a world history of eugenics. Eugenic thought and practice swept the world from the late nineteenth to the mid-twentieth century in a remarkable transnational phenomenon. Eugenics informed social and scientific policy across the political spectrum, from liberal welfare measures in emerging social-democratic states to feminist ambitions for birth control, from public health campaigns to totalitarian dreams of the “perfectibility of man.” Eugenics has accumulated generations of interest as experts attempted to connect biology, human capacity, and policy. In the past and the present, eugenics speaks to questions of race, class, gender and sex, evolution, governance, nationalism, disability, and the social implications of science. In the current climate, in which the human genome project, stem cell research, and new reproductive technologies have proven so controversial, the history of eugenics has much to teach us about the relationship between scientific research, technology, and human ethical decision-making. Thomas Leonard My guess is that there are a number of powerful secret groups which influence the world order but that we are primarily affected by 'the inevitable irrationality of aggregate behaviour' as this pertains to our particular brand of Capitalism, I do perceive a broadly based 'eugenics consortium' which attempts to control and modify the population by chemicals, pharmaceuticals, warfare, Workfare-style practices, financial irregularity and so on. However such a consortium may well be a theoretical construct rather than a practical reality (30th June 2015)
Ruth Joan Munro I know that Timeline of the history of Eugenics here in Canada is all factual.. going right back to the late 40s.. Ann Diamond is a brilliant writer and historian of Canadian history in my opinion.. I have had a lot of questions and Ann has clarified some of the missing pieces of the puzzle for me.

ReplyDeleteIn any society where money means influence and power then those with the most money will have the most influence and power. Those with the most influence and power will be able to influence governments and also governments will want to act in ways which help, protect and serve those with the most influence and power which is those with the most money.
ReplyDeleteTherefore in any society where money grants influence and power, the rich will have the most say over society(so the society cannot be truly democratic) and the government will be swayed by the rich(therefore the government cannot be fair or benevolent or democratic or honest or care about the poor etc)
The conclusion of this we should draw is that while money exists, democracy cannot, that there cannot be a democratic state.

I am not arguing for trade by barter. I'm arguing for the end of the need to trade.
Trade by barter is not necessarily more exploitative. In some sense it may be better. I am not arguing for the return to hunter gatherers.
You did not actually address my point but just engaged in a straw man.
