INFINITE SIMPLICITY, a poem for people on the spectrum
INFINITE SIMPLICITY
by Thomas Hoskyns Leonard
Infinite simplicity
Confounded duplicity
Imaginative idiosyncrasy
Are all traits that await
The human condition
As it defies perdition.
Infinite simplicity
Is a child with neurotransmitters awry
Who on curious signals does rely,
Who stands the test of bullying
While his life fulfilling
Infinite simplicity is a girl on the spectrum
Who becomes a high school valedictorian,
By ignoring the taints and the taunts,
And handling the bad things which her condition flaunts.
