EGON PEARSON BIOGRAPHY
I remember Egon Pearson from the days when I was a postgraduate student at UCL (1970-72) He was an august-looking white-haired old man who would sit drinking tea in the staff common room looking extremely wise. He is most famous for the Neyman-Pearson lemma, and he was very much influenced by the fierce debate between his father Karl Pearson and Ronald Fisher which continued after Karl Pearson's death,
