                                                                   Dr. BRUCE SCOTT

"We are a group of psychotherapists offering free and low-fee psychotherapy to people on low incomes. We are currently developing our own ways of doing no-fee work and we are supporting each other in the experience. We would like other qualified psychotherapists and counsellors to join us in building a network.

We envisage a loose, mutually supportive, network of practitioners offering their time, experience and energy to their local communities in whatever settings work for them. This might be through individual or group sessions, through facilitating peer-support groups or by working with existing community groups."

                                                         ACEPHALE ORIENTATION

Acéphale Orientation is and act and initiative to enable a flourishing of a much needed liberated “site” or "space" (contra dogma and the tyranny of reason) in present society for the meditation upon self, society, philosophy, and psychoanalytic thought, drawing upon the work of Nietzsche (Like Bataille and the Acéphale group) and others who were influenced by Bataille (e.g., Lacan, Derrida, Foucault, Baudrillard etc). It is also to explore the uncommon wisdom of non-knowledge (see Bataille, Inner Experience) and Joyful or Wilful Ignorance (see Nietzsche, Will to Power, The Gay Science). Furthermore, Acéphale Orientation is dedicated to the recognition and respect for the individuality of each person, belief in the value of ordinary ways of living and being together, a scepticism towards ways of thinking that are too often taken for granted, and commitment to conversation as a way of articulating what disturbs people.
